ROBERT MILLER is Professor in Sociology in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at Queen's University of Belfast, where he is also Director of the Centre for Social Research. His books include Researching Life Stories and Family Histories and The A-Z of Social Research.
CIARAN ACTON is a Teaching Fellow in Sociology�in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at Queen's University of Belfast. He is widely experienced in teaching research methods.
